Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus and Dutch-born Ghanaian Brian Brobbey are set to share roles in the Eredivisie and the UEFA Champions League for Ajax.
Mohammed Kudus impressed on his first start for the Dutch giants in the UEFA Champions League, scoring and providing an assist in the 4-0 victory at the Johan Cryuff Arena on Wednesday.
He was replaced by Brian Brobbey, who has been the starter for Ajax this season, in the second half.
According to Dutch journalist, Dick Sintenie, Brobbey will keep his starting role in the Eredivisie while Kudus starts in the UEFA Champions.
“Don’t be surprised if Schreuder now chooses Kudus in the Champions League and Brobbey in the competition. I think Brobbey will play against Heerenveen again on Saturday,” he said.
Brobbey is expected to start against Heerenveen on Saturday with Kudus in the first eleven against Liverpool next week.
