Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored the opening goal for Al Sadd in their 2-1 home loss to Shamal in the matchday 6 clash in the Qatar Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The 32-year-old raced the home side into a 7th minute lead but his side threw away the advantage as they slipped to a painful home loss to the visitors from Madinat.
Tuesday’s goal becomes Ayew second league of the campaign for his side.
He has been named in the Ghana squad for this month’s FIFA international friendly games against Brazil and Nicaragua.
