Brighton suffered their first loss of the Premier League season in midweek against Fulham 1-0. Now, Graham Potter will dust off the Seagulls for the arrival of Leicester City.

Due to the awful start from Leicester City this season, Brendan Rodgers is nearing the exit of the King Power Stadium. Just a little over a year after winning the FA Cup, Leicester City have spiraled down.

Rodgers may have just one game to save his job. A loss to Brighton could see him dismissed. Leading bookies have Rodgers at odds of 4/7 to be the next manager to leave his role.

Leicester City have failed to win a game this season and sit at the bottom of the Premier League standings. Just one point from 15 points on offer has been collected.

Leicester are –5 in goals with 11 conceded and six scored. The Foxes have allowed the second-most goals.

Rodgers’ time at Leicester is reminiscent of the manager’s spell at Liverpool. A strong start at the club with some success has quickly gone downhill and Rodgers is unable to stop the problems.

Brighton have picked up four points from six this season at the Amex Stadium. Just one goal was scored in those two games while the defence kept two clean sheets.

Pascal Gross leads Brighton in goals with three. Two of those scores came on matchday No. 1 versus Man United.

Leicester City have lost back-to-back away matches this season in the league. They have been outscored 6-3 on the road in losses to Arsenal and Chelsea.

It has been a difficult start on the road compounded by playing strong Premier League opponents.

James Maddison leads Leicester City with two goals this season. Jamie Vardy, signed to a new contract, has two assists but zero goals.

Rodgers has three players on the injury list heading into the match. Ricardo Pereira is ruled out until February with a calf injury. Daniel Amartey and Ryan Bertrand are both injured, and will play no part in Sunday’s match.

This week, Leicester City sold Wesley Fofana to Chelsea. His sale further compounds the defensive issues at the club. Don’t be surprised for Leicester City to concede a high number of goals this season.

Brighton manager Potter has three players on the injury list as well. Jakub Molder is ruled out with a knee problem.

Adam Lallana has a calf injury which will keep him out. Meanwhile, Jeremy Sarmiento is a major doubt due to a knee issue.

Brighton do not score a lot of goals and this weekend should see the trend continue. However, the Seagulls should get a 1-0 win at home against a poor Leicester City team.
