Ghanaian youngster Darko Gyabi was on target and provided an assist for Leeds United U21 in their 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Monday in the Premier League 2.
Gyabi lasted the entire duration of the game as he helped his side come from behind to seal a comfortable victory at Thorp Arch.
Nottingham Forest took the lead through Esapa Osong in the 11th minute but Charlie Allen bagged the equaliser for the Whites just before the whistle.
After the recess, Darko Gyabi made it 2-1 before Sonny Perkins increased the tally for the hosts in the 68th minute. He seized on Gyabi’s ball on the edge of the box, before smashing in a left-footed strike which gave Hammond no chance in the Forest net.
Alfie McCalmont and Max Dean secured an emphatic victory.
Gyabi has made four appearances for Leeds United in the Premier League 2, scored one and provided one assist in the process.
