The fascinating Bundesliga 2 encounter saw Kaiserslautern share the spoils with Magdeburg in a 4-4 stalemate at the Fritz Walter Stadion.
Kaiserslautern opened the scoring of the match through American forward Terrance Boyd in the 7th minute.
Kwarteng drew the visitors level four minutes later after he was set up by Mo El Hankouri.
It was the other way round when Kwarteng provided the assist for El Hankouri to put Magdeburg in front in the 17th minute.
Kwarteng scored again four minutes later but was this time connecting a pass from defender Jamie Lawrence.
Boris Tomiak reduced the two-goal deficit before the break.
Philip Hercher and Mike Wunderlich scored in the succession in the 47th and 66th minutes to go ahead for the first time in game.
Tomiak scored an unfortunate own goal eleven minutes from time to help Magdeburg come back into the game to earn a point.
Kwarteng has three goals and two assists in six appearances in the German second-tier this campaign.
