Ghanaian young forward Augustine Boakye came off the bench to score two goals to power Wolfsberger AC to victory in Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday.

Boakye’s brace helped Wolfsberger to stage a comeback to beat WSG Tirol 3-1 at the Tivoli Stadium Tirol in the round six fixture.

Tirol scored first in the match with an early goal from Slovenian midfielder Zan Rogelj in the 5th minute.

Wolfsberger drew level after ten minutes with a goal from defender Adis Jasic before Boakye hit his brace in the second half.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian was introduced in the match in the 56th minute having taken the place of Konstantin Kerschbaumer.

After just four minutes on the field, Boakye scored his first goal of the match after connecting a pass from Jasic.

He scored again in the 90th minute with a sublime finish to seal the victory for the visitors as they recorded their first win of the 2022-23 campaign.
