Great Olympics PRO Saint Osei labels Maxwell Abbey Quaye as ‘ungrateful’ player

Great Olympics Public Relations Officer, Saint Osei has launched a scathing attack at Maxwell Abbey Quaye insisting that he is typical example why many people fail to extend help to players.

Abbey Quaye joined Hearts of Oak from city rivals, Great Olympics on transfer deadline day.

The 24 year old has signed a two-year deal with Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2022/23 Ghana football season.

“He is a very ungrateful player, we have invested in him for a very long time but see how he left us, very ungrateful player,” Saint Osei told Accra Based Hot FM.

Abbey Quaye, after making his debut for the Wonder Club has been a livewire for the two times Ghana Premier League champions.

In the past two seasons, Abbey-Quaye has netted 20 goals for Olympics.

Abbey becomes Hearts of Oak’s eighth arrival after Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi, Zakari Yakubu, Wisdom Bumekpor, Yassan Ouatching, Eric Esso, and Konadu Yiadom.

Hearts of Oak are looking to edge out Asante Kotoko to clinch the Premier League next season and also make a strong case in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The 2021/22 FA Cup champions will begin the Ghana Premier League campaign with an away game against Aduana Stars.
