Asante Kotoko SC are close to naming their new head coach after personal agreement with Seydou Zerbo.
The former Burkina Faso national team gaffer arrived in Ghana on Saturday night to conclude his move with paperworks remaining.
Zerbo is to replace to Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum who recently resigned from his position as trainer of the Porcupine Warriors.
Ogum led the club to the Ghana Premier League title for the first time since 2014.
Zerbo started his coaching career in the 2013-14 season when he was appointed as coach of Rail Club du Kadiogo.
He later coached Bankuy Sports from 2014 to 2016 before heading to ASFA Yennenga in Sonabel.
The 59-year old’s last team was Union Sportive des Forces Armées before he was handed the Burkina Faso local national team managerial role.
He is expected to guide Asante Kotoko to defend their Premier League title, show an impressive performance in the CAF Champions League, starting by beating his former side Rail Club du Kadiogo.
