Medeama SC have dismissed reports linking their managerial role to coach Prosper Narteh Ogum for the impending campaign.
The former Kotoko trainer is idle following his resignation from the hot-seat at the Kumasi-based club.
Medeama are “focused and preparing” for their GHALCA top six clash against Berekum Chelsea on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium with Umar Abdul Rabias as their headcoach.
“There is no iota of truth in the reports. We are even surprised.” Club’s Communication director Patrick Akoto told kickoffghana.com in an interview.
“We have not engaged Dr Ogum in any future capacity at the club. We have our plans and he is not part of that at the moment. Please disregard such reports. It just a figment of someone’s imagination. Said Akoto.
The Tarkwa-based side finished second in last season’s Ghana Premier League.
