Ghanaian youngster Augustine Boakye scored his very first international goal on Tuesday as Wolfsberger AC wallop Gzira United in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifications.
The Austrian Bundesliga club recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over a nine-man Gzira side to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Israel international forward Tai Baribo opened the scoring of the match for Wolfsberger in the 12th minute. The lead was doubled by Dominik Baumgartner before the break.
Wolfsberger increased their advantage through Thorsten Rocher who converted a penalty kick a minute to the hour mark.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder sealed the victory six minutes from time after connecting a pass from Matthaus Taferner.
Boakye was introduced in the game in the 75th minute and spent only nine minutes on the pitch to get on the scoresheet.
The former WAFA SC player needed only his second appearance to grab his first ever continental goal.
