DOL: West Africa Football Academy set to be closed down

WAFA management has decided to close-down the academy over the Ghana Football Association’ refusal to switch them to Zone 3 in the Division One League, close source told AngelSports.

WAFA, formerly known as Feyenoord Soccer Academy in Gomoa Fetteh, played in Zone 2 before the new owners took over and change the name and location to Sogakokpe in the Volta Region.

They got got relegated last season from the GPL and GFA has informed them to revert to their previous Zone Two for their DOL games which does not sit well with them.

Hence the management of the Academy boys have taken the decision to closedown the facility and opt out from the Division One league if GFA decision will remain the same.
