Free-scoring Al Hilal striker Abednego Tetteh says his impact at the Sudanese side come as no surprise to him after bagging a brace in the Champions League qualifier on Sunday.
The lanky poacher has been described in the Sudanese media as “phenomenal” since joining the side from Ghanaian outfit Bechem United in the off-season and he proved his worth again on Saturday with a brace in Al Hilal’s 2-2 draw against Mauritian side AS Porto Louis in the last round of the CAF Champions League qualifying stage.
Asked if he was surprised with his impact in the game, he replied, “My goals didn’t come to me as a surprise as I expected the goals to flow at the right time.
“I don’t need the goals to motivate me as a striker but I need to motivate myself with the goals.
“I asked for 2 goals from God days before the game, and He gave me the goals”, Tetteh told Sports Crusader.
Tetteh has registered 10 goals in 9 matches for the side since his switch.
