Chelsea could face two major stumbling blocks in their pursuit of Presnel Kimpembe.

The Blues are looking to sign a third central defender this summer with deals for Kalidou Koulibaly and Nathan Aké both close.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have now turned their attention to pushing ahead with plans to sign the Frenchman.

Kimpembe’s stance over Chelsea move

Presnel Kimpembe will need convincing over a move to Chelsea, according to the Evening Standard.

The 26-year-old is keen to stay in Paris due to his connection with the club.

He has been at PSG since the age of 10 and made his debut in 2014 aged 19.

As per FootMercato, Tuchel has made contact with him to discuss his Chelsea project.

Kimpembe’s aim is to remain at PSG and win the Champions League.

But, if he was to leave the Parc des Princes, he would want to head to the Premier League.

PSG’s Kimpembe asking price

The Evening Standard add that PSG want up to £50 million for the defender.

Luis Campos has made him available for transfer as he looks to reshape the French champions’ squad.

With the Blues set to spend £33 million on Koulibaly and £45 million on Aké, another £50 million deal would seem excessive.
