German-based trio, Stephen Ambrosio, Patric Pfeiffer and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer have agreed to play for the Black Stars, according to the Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku.
The German-born players, who represented the country’s youth teams have switched their allegiance to Ghana after extensive talks with Mr Okraku and Black Stars trainer, Otto Addo.
Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, who recently joined Hamburg from Dynamo Dresden is believed to have been happy about the project following his conversation with Addo.
Ambrosio previously rejected Ghana’s call-up in favour of Germany’s U-21 under then coach Charles Akonnor but the Hamburg SV player has now accepted to feature for the Stars.
Darmstadt defender, Pfeiffer also made the switch after holding fruitful engagements with the FA.
All aforementioned three in addition to Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey and Inaki Williams are all available for the call-up in September for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers before subsequently the World Cup in November.
