In February 2021, following the Club World Cup in Doha, the seasoned forward became infected for the first time, and he has now tested positive for coronavirus a second time, as confirmed by the defending Bundesliga champions.
This obviously means that he will be placed in isolation and will miss his side’s Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Muller might make his return in time for that clash against Bayer Leverkusen on March 5, but that, of course, is dependent on whether he returns a negative result and gets back to training at the appropriate time.
The loss of the German international will be a major setback for Bavarians, since he currently leads the Bundesliga in assists this season (19).
