This article will see us focus on Brighton.

Graham Potter’s side do not offer an awful lot going forward, so it may be best to avoid their attacking options. However, they still have some good, well-priced defensive options.

With this in mind, 101 have taken a look at the best Brighton & Hove Albion players for your FPL team.

Robert Sanchez, goalkeeper (4.5m)

Robert Sanchez is once again expected to be one of the most popular goalkeepers on FPL this season.

This is because the Spaniard has retained his 4.5m price-tag, which is generally the lowest price you can secure a starting goalkeeper for.

And whilst Sanchez is cheap, Brighton also have an excellent defensive record. The Seagulls conceded just 44 times in the league last season – a record only bettered by Wolves and the top-four.

Tariq Lamptey, defender (4.5m)

Like Sanchez, Lamptey’s 4.5m price-tag is expected to make him a very popular choice on FPL this year.

The right-back is a regular feature for Brighton, appearing 30 times in the league in 2021/22, and he of course benefits from the Seagulls’ solid defence.

Granted, he does lack in goal contributions, but swapping Lamptey and another 4.5m defender in and out of your side should net you a steady six points most weeks, if you choose who to start wisely.

Marc Cucurella, defender (5.0m)

If you want a Brighton defender in your side, Lamptey is probably the go-to option due to his price.

However, if you have an extra 0.5m available, Cucurella is also a good shout.

It may also be worth snapping up the Spaniard before the season starts, as there is talk he could be on his way to Manchester City. And a 5.0m starting-calibre defender lining out for the Sky Blues would be a serious bargain.
