Budding Ghana midfielder Forson Amankwah has joined Austrian Bundesliga side SCR Altach on loan for the entire 2022/23 season.
The 19-year-old signed for champions Red Bull Salzburg in February 2021 from WAFA SC in the Ghana Premier League.
Amankwah was then loaned to feeder side FC Liefering as a cooperation player, where he scored 6 and assisted 8 goals in 29 games.
“I’m really looking forward to coming to Altach.
“I see it as the ideal next step in development to be able to really gain a foothold at SCRA in the Bundesliga.
“The talks with those responsible showed me right from the start that I was needed here and that I could contribute to a successful season,” the attacking midfielder told the club’s website.
Forson Amankwah has taken up the number 15 shirt. He has already joined the team at their pre-season in training camp in Braz.
