Former Ghana U17 midfielder Gilbert Koomson feels proud of his maiden goal of the Norwegian season and is inspired to score more for the newcomers.

The 21-year-old had inspired Sogndal’s comeback at the Fosshaugane Campus – Heimen til Sogndal Fotball with two brilliant assists before netting his first goal of the season as Sogndal defeated Aalesund 4-1 at their own backyard.

The former Thailand-based midfielder says the goal remains important for his season.

“It was great and I feel proud of my team. That game was first away win and it wasn’t easy at all because they score us early and it was hard to come back but this also made us calm and we kept the ball. I got my 2 assists before my goal,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively.

Koomson has featured 8 times for Sogndal this season and provided four assists in the process, scoring once.

He joined Sogndal from Thai Premier League side BEC Tero Sasana.
