Wuhan Zall vs Shanghai SIPG – 25/06/2022

570
On Saturday afternoon, Wuhan Zall and Shanghai Port clash as both teams look to move up the Chinese Super League table.
Wuhan
It would be a major understatement to say the home side has had an inconsistent start to their league campaign. They won their opening three matches of the season in the Chinese Super League, only to suffer back-to-back defeats in their last two league games against local rival rivals Wuhan Three Towns and also Shanghai Shenhua.
Wuhan has struggled in defence in the last two defeats, as they conceded at least two goals in both of those recent losses.
Poor performances and results on home soil have been a major problem for Wuhan in recent months, as they have won just once in their previous five home games in the Chinese Super League. That run includes two defeats in their last three home matches in the league.
Although Wuhan’s most recent home matches have not always been high-scoring, both teams have scored in their last ten league games on home soil.
Shanghai Port
Like their hosts, Shanghai Port have endured an inconsistent start to the new Chinese Super League campaign, even more so than Wuhan. The visitors have picked up six points from their opening five matches of the league campaign.
Ivan Leko’s team kicked off their league campaign with two straight defeats before two consecutive victories. A 2-1 loss at Wuhan Tree Towns last time out ended that two-game winning run.
The game last time out ended a low-scoring trend for Shanghai in the Chinese Super League, as their previous five matches in the top-flight had all produced under 2.5 goals.
What does Forebet predict?
