Anthony Martial is set to be handed a new lease of life at Manchester United with the arrival of Erik ten Hag.
The Frenchman is one of the players facing an uncertain future at the club but with no club willing to get him owing to his high wage demands, he is set for a stay at Old Trafford with two years remaining on his current deal.
Martial failed to impress during his six-month stay at Sevilla and is expected to be part of the first group to return for pre-season preparations on Monday according to reports from Machester Evening News.
It will be a make-or-break season for Martial with the reports stating that Ten Hag is ready to hand him another opportunity to impress failure to which he will be put on sale in the summer.
Martial ended the 2019/20 season as the club’s top scorer and that impressive campaign won him a near-permanent place in the France squad but since then, his form has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.
He scored just four league goals in the next campaign and was eventually shown the door by Rangnick. Before that, he had lost his place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was in charge when he was tied down to a five-year deal in 2019.
