Andy Robertson reacts to confirmation of compatriot Calvin Ramsay’s Liverpool switch

Liverpool star Andrew Robertson has taken to social media, to respond to the latest piece of transfer business carried out by the club.

Sunday afternoon, of course, saw the 3rd and what is expected to prove final addition to Jurgen Klopp’s ranks ahead of next season confirmed.

After sealing deals for both Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez, yet another highly-regarded up-and-coming talent opted to put pen to paper on terms at Anfield, in the form of Calvin Ramsay.

Ramsay, an 18-year-old full-back, is fresh off a stellar campaign in Scotland with Aberdeen.

The Dons youth product, who has committed his future to Liverpool through the summer of 2027, is understood to have set the Reds back an initial sum of around £4 million, followed by a further £2.5 million in potential bonuses.

And, as alluded to above, one current member of Klopp’s ranks on Merseyside who certainly appears to approve of Ramsay’s arrival comes in the form of Andy Robertson.

‘Robbo’, one Scottish stopper who has long established himself as a fan favourite at Liverpool, will no doubt be amongst those most eager to take the 18-year-old under his wing, ahead of what could well prove something of a baptism of fire for Ramsay in England.

In turn, upon word of his fellow countryman’s arrival being made official earlier today, Robertson was quick to take to social media, to provide his response to the news.

The comment in question – hinting that the 28-year-old is proud to have another Scot by his side at Anfield – is showcased below:
