Asante Kotoko continue to lead the Ghana Premier League table on 66 points after 33 matches and they are followed closely by Medeama who have collected 56 points.
But we take a look at the teams that should have done better at this stage of the season.
1.WAFA
The first name on the list, as one would obviously expect, is WAFA. With the academy structure and considering the quality of players they have, WAFA should not be lying in the relegation zone after 33 matches. The team of Konadu Yiadom and co have picked 35 points from total 96 points representing 34.67 %. They are the biggest flop team of the league at this stage.
2.Elmina Sharks
Sharks started the season on a good note by picking a draw on opening day of the competition from Accra Lions but what followed were inconsistent results. The club that reached semi finals in last year’s FA Cup have conceded the joint most goals this season – 30 alongside WAFA.
3.Hearts Of Oak
The reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League have not done so bad considering the fact that they are 15 points behind leaders Asante Kotoko. We include them on this flop list for their inconsistency and abysmal performance this season. Their matches is not typical of the Never say die mantra.
4. Real Tamale United
The team coached by Ibrahim Tanko picked 7 points from their first 5 matches – won two, drew one and lost two. Their performance has taken a nosedive as they are yet to pick a win in their last five outings. They lie in 15th with 38 points.
5. Eleven Wonders
The Wonder club started the season well but are currently at the 15th place on the league table on 37 points.
