Gold Stars FC will aim to revive their Ghana Premier League campaign when they welcome Aduana FC to Duns Park on Sunday for a crucial Matchday 10 fixture.
The Bibiani-based side are 14th in the table with 10 points after losing five of their first nine matches of the 2026/27 season. They are seeking a result that would move them further away from the lower half of the standings and ease pressure following an inconsistent opening to the campaign.
Their home form offers some encouragement. Gold Stars have won two of their four league matches at Duns Park and will hope that advantage can help them return to winning ways against one of the division’s leading teams.
The hosts also have a dominant record in previous meetings with Aduana FC in Bibiani. Gold Stars have won all five of their Ghana Premier League home matches against the Fire Club, keeping a clean sheet in each victory.
Aduana FC travel to Duns Park in fourth place with 16 points, having strengthened their position with a 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in their previous league outing.
The Fire Club have registered five victories from nine matches this season and have established themselves as one of the Ghana Premier League’s most difficult teams to break down. They have conceded only five goals, giving them one of the best defensive records in the competition.
However, Aduana’s recent away form has been less convincing. After making a strong start on the road, they have since suffered consecutive 1-0 defeats away from home.
They will therefore be looking to recover the form that helped them make an encouraging beginning to the campaign and improve their record at Duns Park, where Gold Stars have previously proved particularly difficult opponents.
Gold Stars need points to create more distance from the relegation zone, while Aduana FC are seeking to consolidate their place in the top four. The contrasting objectives of the two sides set up a tightly contested encounter in Bibiani.
