Ghana will discover its opponents in the group stage of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2026 when the official draw is held in Cairo on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the draw will begin at 16:00 local time at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The Black Sharks secured their place at the tournament by defeating arch-rivals Nigeria 10-7 on aggregate in the qualifying tie. The teams drew 3-3 in Nigeria before Ghana claimed a 7-4 victory in Keta.
Qualification gives Ghana the opportunity to return to the continental competition and face the leading beach soccer nations in Africa. The Black Sharks last appeared at the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in 2024 and have since been working towards a return to the final tournament.
Eight teams have qualified for the 2026 edition: Angola, Ghana, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Uganda.
CAF’s draw procedures confirm that Senegal, who are both hosts and defending champions, will be placed automatically in position A1 in Group A. Mauritania, runners-up in the 2024 edition, will take position B1 in Group B.
The other six teams have been divided into three pots according to CAF’s ranking from the last three editions of the competition.
The draw will begin with Pot 3, before moving on to Pot 2 and then Pot 1. The first team selected from Pot 3 will be assigned to Group A in position A4, while the second team will be placed in Group B at B4.
The same allocation process will then be used for the teams drawn from Pot 2 and Pot 1.
