Black Stars shot-stopper, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen is absent from KAS Eupen’s pre-season this week because he is away with the national team.
The goalkeeper had a fantastic spell with his team throughout the 2021/22 Belgian Jupiler Pro League season.
At the end of the season, the youngster returned home where he joined the Black Stars for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Subsequently, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen travelled to Japan with the Black Stars to participate in the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament.
On Tuesday, morning, the goalkeeper was a hero for the Black Stars as he saved two penalties to lead Ghana to a shootout victory against Chile in the third-place match.
As a result of the national team engagement, the goalie is yet to link up with his KAS Eupen teammates for pre-season.
Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, 23, is expected to have a week-long holiday before travelling to Belgium to begin the pre-season with KAS Eupen.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Isaac Nuhu is part of the 19 players that have started the pre-season.
