Abdul Karim Kabutey Zito has been dismissed by FC AshantiGold 04 after managing only three wins in eight Ghana Premier League matches.
The club terminated his appointment as head coach and technical director with immediate effect after a spell that produced 11 points from a possible 24.
Zito’s record consisted of three victories, two draws and three defeats. His 37.5 per cent win rate meant AshantiGold 04 failed to win in five of the eight matches played under his leadership.
The former AshantiGold 04 boss drew 25 per cent of his games, while his three defeats accounted for another 37.5 per cent. His results therefore showed an equal number of wins and losses during his time in charge.
AshantiGold 04 collected 11 of the 24 points available, leaving 13 points unclaimed across the eight fixtures. Zito’s points-per-game average was 1.38.
Zito’s AshantiGold 04 record
The 11 points gained came from three wins and two draws, with the side taking points in five of the eight matches but losing the other three.
The figures underline the limited margin for error in Zito’s short tenure. Although the team secured victories in three matches, it was unable to win more than half of the games he managed.
His departure is part of a wider change to AshantiGold 04’s technical set-up. The club has also ended the appointments of assistant coach Ernest Okyere and goalkeeper trainer Robert Dabuo.
The decision brings the current technical arrangement at AshantiGold 04 to an end.
Zito managed eight matches in total, recording three wins, two draws and three losses. His overall return was 11 points from 24, producing a 37.5 per cent win rate and an average of 1.38 points per game.
