Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah has vowed to consolidate his position in the team ahead of the upcoming World cup which comes off this year in Qatar.
Mensah made his debut for Ghana under Coach C.K Akonor in 2019 and has largely been satisfactory.
The RB Salzburg defender has played 10 games so far for the Black Stars so far including starting every competitive under coach Otto Addo.
Speaking on Accra based radio station Starr FM, he stated that his prime target is to work hard to maintain his position in the team.
“The best thing I can do for myself is to work very hard and be in the team for all of us to contribute our quota to make history in Qatar,” he added.
Ghana is in group H and are billed to battle Portugal ,South Korea and Uruguay at global event in November.
