Anderson Talisca is set to join Al Jazira after ending his contract with Fenerbahce by mutual consent, with only a medical examination and the signing of formal documents still required to complete the Brazilian forward’s move to the United Arab Emirates.
Fenerbahce confirmed Talisca’s departure in a statement published on the club’s account on X. The Turkish side said: “Anderson Talisca, who joined our squad during the mid-season break of the 2024-25 season, has had his contract terminated by mutual agreement.”
The club added: “We wish Talisca success in the next stage of his football career.”
Talisca joined Fenerbahce during the January transfer period of the 2024-25 season. His spell in Turkey has now come to an end, with the 32-year-old understood to have reached an agreement to continue his career with Al Jazira.
According to Transfermarkt, citing trusted journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Al Jazira have agreed a two-year contract with the former Al Nassr player. The proposed deal also includes an option to extend the agreement by a further year.
The report says Talisca will receive a gross annual salary of slightly more than 10m euros at the Emirati club. The transfer is not yet fully complete, however, as the player must undergo a medical and sign the final contract before the move can be formally concluded.
Al Jazira already have a Brazilian player in their squad in Malcom, the former Al Hilal forward. Talisca’s arrival would therefore add another high-profile Brazilian attacking player to the club’s ranks.
Talisca previously established himself as a prominent figure during his time with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia before moving to Fenerbahce. He joined the Turkish club in the middle of the 2024-25 campaign, but the two parties have now agreed to end their contractual relationship.
Fenerbahce’s announcement did not disclose the financial terms of the termination or provide further details about Talisca’s next destination. The agreement with Al Jazira, as reported by Ozbudak and cited by Transfermarkt, remains subject to the completion of the final transfer procedures.
The forward’s departure from Fenerbahce brings his time at the Istanbul club to a close, while Al Jazira are now expected to complete the signing once the medical checks and paperwork have been completed.
