I would love to play under Otto Addo, says Joseph Attamah Larweh

Kayserispor defender, Joseph Attamah Larweh says he is aiming to return to the Black Stars under Otto Addo.

Attamah Larweh has struggled to make the cut for the senior national team despite his impressive form in the Turkish Super Ligue.

He played 30 league games for Kayserispor in the 2021/22 season and netted two goals.

Despite nursing an injury, the former Tema Youth defender is aiming to return to the Black Stars under Addo.

“Yeah [I want to work with Otto Addo]. If he calls me today, I will go if I’m fit,” he told TV3 in an interview.

“For now, I’m not fit. They just called me for the Japan game but I wasn’t fit because of my knee injury.

The funny thing is it’s always a late call-up [for me]. They call a player and he doesn’t come and then they end up calling me late. I’m always calm about it,” he added.

Attamah and Kayserispor narrowly lost the Turkish cup final to Sivasspor in May.

Attamah last featured for the national team in 2017 under Kwasi Appiah, who was the then head coach.
