Jonas Jensen-Abbew has joined Dutch club ADO Den Haag from Danish champions Aarhus GF, with the 24-year-old centre-back signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2030.

The Denmark- and Ghana-eligible defender moves to the Eredivisie after two seasons with Aarhus, whom he helped win the Danish championship in the 2025-26 campaign. He made the switch to ADO Den Haag on 26 August 2026.

Jensen-Abbew had started the new season with Aarhus before completing his move to the Netherlands. He played in two Champions League qualifying matches and appeared once in the Danish Superliga, recording 134 minutes in European qualifying and four minutes in league competition.

The Herlev-born defender is 1.89m tall and predominantly uses his right foot. His arrival gives ADO Den Haag a centre-back with experience of domestic football in Denmark and Champions League qualifying, as he begins the next stage of his career in the Eredivisie.

Jensen-Abbew joined Aarhus from Nordsjaelland in February 2024. Aarhus paid €1.25m for the defender, who had previously spent time on loan at HB Koge during the 2022-23 season.

He began his senior development at Nordsjaelland after progressing through the club’s under-19 side. Earlier in his career, he was part of the FC Nordsjaelland youth system after leaving AB’s youth set-up in 2019.

His move to ADO Den Haag represents a change of league and country for a player whose recent career has been based in Denmark. The Dutch club have secured his services through the end of the 2029-30 season.

Jensen-Abbew leaves Aarhus after helping the club to the Danish title and having featured in their early-season European campaign. He is now an ADO Den Haag player under a contract lasting until June 2030.
