Erling Haaland appeared to issue a light-hearted warning after Italian actor Michele Morrone was seen talking to the Manchester City striker’s girlfriend, Isabel Johansen, in a video that has attracted widespread attention on social media.

The moment was captured in footage from Haaland’s YouTube channel, where Johansen regularly appears. Morrone and Johansen were shown speaking to one another while Haaland watched from nearby.

Addressing the camera, Haaland said: “Wait, wait, wait,” before adding: “Not that close, not that close.”

The Norway international immediately followed the remark with a broad smile, making it clear that he was joking rather than seriously confronting Morrone.

The exchange was reported by The Sun, which identified the other man in the clip as Morrone, the Italian actor. The footage has since circulated widely online, with Haaland’s reaction prompting viewers to cast him in the role of a playfully jealous boyfriend.

Haaland’s girlfriend, Johansen, features regularly in videos posted on his YouTube channel, and the latest clip provides another example of the striker continuing his work away from the pitch.

The Manchester City forward appears to have maintained that side project in the build-up to the new Premier League season. Rather than focusing solely on football-related content, his channel also includes informal moments involving people close to him, including Johansen.

In this instance, the attention centred on Haaland’s brief intervention as Morrone spoke with her. His exaggerated warning, followed by the smile, conveyed the playful nature of the exchange and helped the clip gain traction on social media.

The video has therefore offered fans a glimpse of Haaland away from his role as Manchester City’s striker, while also showing the relaxed tone of the content shared through his online channel.

Although the scene lasted only a short time, Haaland’s words particularly his repeated insistence that Morrone was “not that close” became the main focus of the footage. His reaction was presented as humour, with no indication of a serious disagreement between the footballer and the actor.

Haaland is continuing to build his presence on YouTube before the start of the new Premier League campaign, and Johansen remains a regular presence in the videos. The latest instalment has now become one of the clips from the channel to receive significant attention online.
