AmaZulu defender John Arwuah is desperate to make a comeback before the end of the month in order to help the club battle relegation.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender is continuing his rehabilitation following an injury he suffered during an away Absa Premiership encounter against Free State Stars two weeks ago.
The impressive centre-back has been ruled out of action for up to five weeks but the Ghanaian is eager to return to the pitch.
“I’m making progress slowly but surely,†he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“It’s an injury that takes a long time this one, and you have to work hard on a day-to-day basis to recover, but fortunately that’s what I’m doing and so I hope to come back fit and well just as soon as I can.
“It’s been going very well. It’s a long recovery process for this injury and I think it’s more about how you are psychologically in your head and trying to keep positive in order to be able to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible.
“You always think positively, I think that’s the most important thing. In my case, I keep myself going by focusing on getting back as quickly as I can.â€
Arwuah has made seven appearances for Usuthu so far this season, six in the league and one in the Telkom Knockout.
Usuthu are currently in 16th place on the Absa Premiership table and will play their next game against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday.
