The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has rescheduled the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup 2026 to July 25 – August 16, 2026.
Initially slated for March 17 to April 3, 2026, in Morocco, the tournament’s new dates aim to ensure optimal conditions and success.
The decision follows discussions with FIFA and stakeholders, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for the change.
The rescheduled tournament will serve as a key qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Preparations are underway, with CAF confident in the tournament’s success. Morocco, the original host, had hosted the 2022 edition, and South Africa had expressed readiness to host if needed.
The new dates align with domestic and international calendars, potentially allowing players competing abroad greater availability to represent their national teams.
