The survival fight just found its fire.
Dreams Football Club reignited their campaign in dramatic fashion, grinding out a priceless 1-0 victory over title-chasing Aduana Stars at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday.
And when they needed a leader most — their captain answered.
John Antwi rose to the moment in the 67th minute, pouncing on a defensive lapse and firing home with composure to hand Dreams their first win in six matches. One chance. One finish. One enormous statement.
The first half had been a chess match — tense, tactical, and tight. Aduana controlled spells of possession, probing patiently, while Dreams threatened on the break. But neither side could find the killer touch before the interval.
After the restart, Dreams turned up the heat.
They pressed harder. Ran faster. Believed louder.
Antwi’s strike separated the sides, and from that point on, it became a test of nerve. Dreams defended with grit and discipline, refusing to surrender their slender advantage.
The result lifts Winfred Dormon’s men from 13th to 11th ; a climb that could prove season-defining in the relegation dogfight.
For Aduana, however, it is a stinging setback.
The defeat — their first in five matches — dents their title momentum and leaves them fifth on 38 points, eight adrift of leaders Medeama Sporting Club. Four league games without a win now casts a worrying shadow over “The Fire Boys.”
The heat is rising at both ends of the table.
Next up, Aduana host bottom-side Eleven Wonders in what now feels like a must-win clash, while Dreams travel to face FC Samartex 1996 with renewed belief surging through their veins.
The message from Tuba is clear:
Dreams are not done fighting.
