Lamine Yamal made history by scoring his first career hat-trick, leading Barcelona to a 4-1 victory over Partey’s Villarreal at Camp Nou.
The 18-year-old winger opened the scoring in the 28th minute, curling home a pass from Fermin Lopez.
He doubled the lead nine minutes later with a stunning solo run, beating two defenders before firing into the top corner.
Villarreal pulled one back through Pape Gueye’s goal in the 49th minute, but Yamal restored Barcelona’s two-goal lead with his third strike, a clinical finish from a Pedri pass.
Robert Lewandowski added a fourth in stoppage time, tapping home Jules Kounde’s cross.
Thomas Partey, who watched from the bench as an unused substitute, will be disappointed to have missed the action.
Barcelona’s win moves them four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
