Ashimeru’s Debut Start Ends Prematurely With Red Card

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru’s first start for RAAL La Louvière ended in disappointment as he was sent off in the 18th minute against K.V. Mechelen.

The 28-year-old’s challenge was deemed worthy of a straight red card after a VAR review, cutting short his opportunity to impress.

Ashimeru, who joined RAAL La Louvière on loan from RSC Anderlecht, had been looking to make a strong impact in his first start.

However, his early dismissal left his team to play with 10 men for the remainder of the match.

This setback is a tough blow for Ashimeru and RAAL La Louvière, who are pushing for a strong second half of the season.
