Ezekiel Alladoh enjoyed a memorable first outing for Philadelphia Union after finding the net in a dominant Concacaf Cup victory over Defence Force FC.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian was handed a starting role in his first competitive appearance following his move from Swedish side IF Brommapojkarna.

Playing in Trinidad and Tobago, he announced himself to the fans with a commanding header as the MLS club recorded a 5-0 triumph.

Philadelphia had taken the lead through Milan Iloski in the 29th minute before Alladoh quickly added a second goal moments later.

The visitors remained in control after the break, with Olwethu Makhanya rising to head home the third.

Bruno Damiani later struck twice to complete the rout and underline Union’s superiority on the night.

Alladoh, formerly of Accra Lions, has built a reputation as a sharp finisher and will be eager to maintain his scoring touch.

His early impact strengthens expectations that he will become an important figure for the club this season.

He is set to feature again when Philadelphia Union face D.C. United in their upcoming league fixture.

The young forward’s bright start signals a confident beginning to his American adventure.
