Ghana’s Black Princesses secured a 1-0 win over South Africa in the U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, with Priscilla Mensah scoring the decisive goal in the 63rd minute, leaving head coach Charles Sampson expectant.

Head coach Charles Sampson expressed his delight, saying, “Our goal is to be at the U20 Women’s World Cup.”

The victory marked a turnaround for the team, which had thrown away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 in the first leg in Accra.

Sampson praised his team’s resilience, highlighting the challenges they faced in the return leg in South Africa.

With this win, Ghana advances to the next stage of qualifiers, facing the winner of the Zambia vs. Uganda tie.

The Black Princesses aim to secure an eighth consecutive appearance at the global tournament, having not missed the U20 Women’s World Cup since 2010.
