The Ghana Premier League fixture between Medeama Sporting Club and Aduana Football Club will resume on Saturday morning after heavy rainfall forced officials to halt proceedings at the TnA Sports Stadium.
The two sides met on Friday in a Week 22 encounter, with Medeama taking a slim lead into the halftime break courtesy of a thunderous free kick from midfielder Salim Adams.
Conditions deteriorated significantly after the restart as persistent rain made the pitch increasingly difficult to play on. Despite the challenging surface, Seidu Saana equalised for Aduana in the 70th minute to bring the contest level.
With the downpour intensifying in the closing stages, match officials paused the game and directed both teams back to the dressing room due to safety concerns and unplayable field conditions.
Following a joint assessment by officials and match coordinators, a decision was reached to resume the fixture on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., allowing time for the weather to clear and ensuring a fair conclusion to the match.
