Asante Kotoko set for Aduana test in FA Cup last 16

MTN FA Cup

Defending champions Asante Kotoko have been drawn against fellow Premier League side Aduana FC in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup.

The draw was conducted on Tuesday at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat, setting up one of the standout fixtures at this stage of the competition.

Kotoko reached the last 16 with relative ease after overcoming King Faisal and Future Stars in earlier rounds.

The Porcupine Warriors will be aiming to stay on course in their title defence as they prepare for a tricky encounter against the Ogya Lads.

The two sides already know each other well this season, having shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ghana Premier League.

That result suggests a closely fought contest when they meet again in the knockout competition.

Kotoko will be counting on their experience and pedigree in the FA Cup to navigate past a disciplined Aduana side.

Elsewhere in the draw, former champions Medeama SC were paired with FC Samartex, while Dreams FC will face Inter Allies.

The Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled to be played between Friday, February 6 and Monday, February 9, 2026.

With silverware firmly in sight, Kotoko will see the Aduana clash as another crucial step in their quest to retain the FA Cup crown.
