Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante played a pivotal role as Coventry City came from behind to defeat Millwall 2–1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena in the Championship.
Coventry fell behind early when Romain Esse gave Millwall the lead in the 11th minute. The hosts responded before the half-hour mark through Mihailo Ivanovic, who finished from close range following a smart build-up involving Femi Azeez.
Thomas-Asante, introduced in the 70th minute, brought renewed energy and direct attacking play to Coventry’s front line. His decisive contribution came in the 78th minute when he picked out Haji Wright, who slotted home the winner to complete the comeback.
The assist highlights an encouraging season for Thomas-Asante, who has now recorded four assists in 19 Championship appearances while also scoring 10 goals under Frank Lampard this term.
Coventry will look to build on this victory as they continue their push up the league table.
