Lawrence Ofori has taken the next step in his career after sealing a move to Casa Pia following his departure from fellow Portuguese side Moreirense.

The Ghanaian midfielder joins his new club as a free agent ahead of the second round of the Liga Portugal season.

At 27, Ofori is expected to add experience and depth to Casa Pia’s midfield as they push on in the campaign.

His switch comes after a difficult period at Moreirense, where opportunities were limited despite being under contract.

The midfielder featured sparingly this season, managing just four league appearances and providing one assist.

With regular football proving elusive, both player and club agreed it was best to go their separate ways.

Discussions over the move progressed smoothly in recent days, even with reported interest from clubs outside Portugal.

Ofori, who joined Moreirense in mid-2023, will now look to relaunch his career and regain consistency at Casa Pia.
