No Ultimatum for Zito — Kotoko Management dismisses reports

Management has dismissed reports suggesting that head coach Zito has been handed a three-match ultimatum, insisting there is no such directive in place.

Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Communications Manager  Sarfo Duku clarified that the club is taking a calm and collective approach to team affairs, amid growing public discussion over recent performances.

According to Duku, the club is not inclined to rush into decisions based on short-term results, stressing that responsibility for the team’s progress does not lie with one individual alone.

“Team management is a collective responsibility involving the players, the technical team and the medical department,” he said.

He further explained that while the club constantly reviews its situation, any major decision ;  if it becomes necessary  will only be taken after proper engagement with all relevant stakeholders.

“For now, no such move is on the table,” Duku stated, firmly shutting down claims of an ultimatum.

The clarification comes at a time when pressure has been mounting on clubs across the Ghana Premier League, with supporters and pundits closely scrutinizing results and performances as the season progresses.

Management’s stance suggests a preference for stability and internal assessment rather than reactionary measures, as the club focuses on addressing its challenges collectively.
