Antoine Semenyo has wasted no time settling into life at Manchester City following his blockbuster move from Bournemouth, immediately joining first-team training at the City Football Academy.

The 25-year-old Ghana international, who signed a five-and-a-half-year deal in a transfer worth around £64 million, was put through his paces in an intense first session under Pep Guardiola. Club footage shared on social media showed Semenyo powering through agility ladders, explosive hurdle jumps, and high-speed sprint drills alongside his new teammates, highlighting the pace and athleticism that made him one of the Premier League’s most sought-after attackers.

“Getting stuck in,” read Manchester City’s caption on X, a post that quickly generated thousands of likes and reactions. Fans flooded the comments with messages of welcome, with many already imagining the winger linking up with Erling Haaland and adding fresh dynamism to City’s attack.

Speaking briefly to club media after training, Semenyo could not hide his excitement.

“It’s a dream come true to be here,” he said. “The intensity is exactly what I expected, and I’m ready to give everything for this badge.”

With Manchester City competing on multiple fronts and the January window still open, Semenyo’s swift integration sends a clear statement of intent. Supporters will now be eagerly awaiting his debut, which could come as early as next week’s FA Cup tie.
