Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola refused to confirm or deny interest in Ghana international Antoine Semenyo as the January transfer window looms.

The Bournemouth forward, who has impressed with nine Premier League goals and three assists this season, has been linked with a high-profile move to the Etihad. Semenyo’s £65 million release clause is active for the first 10 days of January, and a bidding battle is expected, following rejected summer offers.

Speaking to TNT Sports after Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest, Guardiola botched to respond to Semenyo’s transfer links saying, “Next Question” to a question regarding the Black Stars player.

After City’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest, Guardiola was asked about the Black Stars attacker and responded tersely: “Next question,” keeping speculation alive.

Semenyo, 25, continues to shine despite Bournemouth’s 4-1 defeat to Brentford, building on a strong 2024-25 campaign where he scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 37 league games.
