I’m not here to play but to help Ghana – Derrick Kohn

Published: 3 months ago
Black Stars

Derrick Arthur Kohn’s debut for Ghana was a moment he’ll never forget, as echoed by the Union Berlin defender on Sporty FM.

The defender had goosebumps as he took the field, and he was determined to make an impact in Ghana’s 2025 Kirin Cup game against Japan.

The Black Stars suffered defeat but Kohn enjoyed his moment.

“I had goosebumps playing my first game for Ghana. I just wanted to show the coach that I’m not here to play but prove I can help during the World Cup,” he said.

Kohn is eager to contribute to the Black Stars’ success.

The young defender is looking like a valuable asset for Ghana after putting in a shift on debut.

With Kohn in the squad and the 206 World Cup looming, Ghana’s got some serious defensive firepower at left back with Kohn and Gideon Mensah.
