He joins Francileudo Santos and Wahbi Khazri as the only Tunisian players to score 2+ goals in an AFCON match this century.
Achouri’s impressive performance helped Tunisia secure a strong start to their tournament campaign, with goals in the 40th and 64th minutes.
Santos, who scored 10 goals at AFCON 2004 and 2006, and Wahbi Khazri, who scored a double against Mauritania in 2022, are the other players to achieve this milestone.
