Young Apostles snapped a five-game winless streak in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Karela United at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The hosts took the lead in the 20th minute when Abdul Ganiyu unleashed a thunderous strike to put Young Apostles ahead. Karela United responded before halftime through Felix Morty, who capitalized on a scramble in the box to level the scores in the 36th minute.

The decisive moment arrived early in the second half when Issah Nyaabila restored the hosts’ advantage in the 49th minute. Apostles defended resolutely to hold on for the win, marking their fourth victory at home this season and moving level on points with Karela United.

The result denied Karela back-to-back wins following their previous triumph over Hearts of Oak, while Young Apostles will look to build on this momentum when they visit Nations FC next. Karela United, meanwhile, will host Vision FC in their next fixture.
