Ghana head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has urged major clubs to move quickly for Black Queens goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan, describing her as a “quality” talent with huge potential.
Konlan has attracted increasing attention following her composed performances for Ghana, including her standout display in the friendly defeat to England. Björkegren confirmed that interest has already emerged from strong football markets.
“We heard that no one has picked her yet, but I know there has been interest from both England and the US,” he said. “We are talking about a quality goalkeeper ; she’s young, tall, really fast, moves quickly, and she’s an amazing girl.”
The Swedish coach believes her profile makes her an ideal signing for any ambitious club and called on teams to act decisively.
“I think at least now someone should offer her a good contract,” he added.
Konlan, who features for Samartex Ladies, has been one of Ghana’s standout performers in recent months, playing a key role in the Black Queens’ bronze-medal finish at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
