England will wrap up their 2025 schedule on Tuesday night when they face Ghana at St. Mary’s Stadium, the venue where Sarina Wiegman coached her first game in charge back in 2021.
Her side arrives on the back of an 8-0 win over China, a result that also sparked questions about squad rotation.
Wiegman confirmed she plans to adjust her selection for the Ghana game.
“[There] will be changes [and we] will manage minutes.”
The head coach emphasized the importance of maximizing the limited number of friendlies before the next World Cup.
“There’s always connections with the managers, there’s always calls before and after camp. Of course I’m very aware of the schedule.
“we don’t have that many opportunities to play friendlies, after this camp we only have eight more camps to go until the world cup.
“Of course we have to qualify first, we know that so we want to use the time together as much as possible too.”
Kickoff against Ghana is scheduled for 19:00 GMT on Tuesday, December 2.
The match serves as part of Ghana’s preparations ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in March next year.
